Abaddon v0.17 Prototype Ultra Pre-Alpha (PUPA) released!
The engine is coming along well, screen shots are available on the gallery page. This video was recorded on a GeForce 8600 GTS in 1680x1050 resolution using OpenGL, and makes use of Alpha Splatting, for the terrain, and Normal, Specular, and Ambient Occlusion maps for the models using CG shaders.
You can download the game for Windows here setup0.17.exe (26.7 MB). Versions for Linux and Mac OS X are in the pipeline.

Looks Great
This new update looks pretty decent. I think the walking animation is a bit stiff, but given how difficult it is to animate that motion it's understandable. Keep up the good work!

problem
Looks great but struggling to install. Tried upon my sister's new laptop and she has windows 7 and a nvidia 330m

Update DirectX
I think the problem is that you need to update DirectX. Go to this link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en and let me know if works after that.
